Snobby Girl Christmas Ramblings…

It’s December 12, 2014 and for the first time in my life I am not finished shopping, wrapping or have a batch of cookies made.  Somehow I’m not upset.  Maybe I’ve finally learned the meaning of Christmas and seriously, I must be the slowest learner.  I’ve decided that one of the traditions I hold dear could be better served with modification, Christmas Cookies!  God, I love them, but I only need to bake enough for a few days and not a month’s worth that we will incessantly eat during the holidays, because God forbid they go to waste.  So I’m baking just enough and only a few more.

I always look forward to Christmas Eve.  It’s very special to me.  We begin our Christmas celebration with Mass, and end with a gathering of special and dear friends.  It really is the “most wonderful time of the year.  I will be thanking God for goodness this year.  It truly exists but we need a little more.

Sidelined

What a surprise.  I received a signed copy of “Sidelined” by Chuck Pagano from Karla Kerkman Miles.  Since most of my reading is from the female side of cancer, I am looking forward to reading his story.

Thank you Karla, this was such a thoughtful gift.

Seaweed, Catfood and a Supplement, ugh $19.99, It’ll Cure You

AND IF IT DOESN’T WORK, I DIE!  Anyone willing to take the risk, I’m not.

There is a new chemical that is giving cancer patients even more hope for killing their cancer without all the terrible side effects that chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery cause. This substance has no toxicity, works immediately, and costs only $20 a week. The chemical is dichloroacetic acid or DCA. It’s a chemical that doesn’t exist in nature. Molecularly, it is similar to vinegar. In a new study, DCA showed to be able to induce apoptosis, the concept of controlled cell death, in cancer cells. Researchers exposed lung cancer cells, breast cancer cells, and brain cancer cells to DCA. It changed the cancer cells into normal cells. In fact, within only 48 hours, their oxygen utilization was completely normal, causing them to die through the apoptosis process.

If you’re interested in DCA, please contact one of the physicians listed here: www.iptforcancer.com.

GOING BALD FOR CANCER

My friend, Lisa Parks will be “Going Bald” again this year on October 17, 2014.
Lisa does this every year to support thLisaCancerCapose of us going through cancer, those of lucky enough to be away from treatment for awhile and those who we lost to this disease.  This is not easy for Lisa considering she is a performer, with an awesome voice, and DJ, and quite frankly doesn’t know from year to year where she will be performing on this date.  But she does it regardless.   Hat’s Off (or maybe Hair Off) to Lisa, one of the nicest and giving people I know.

Please visit her page.  (Oh and by the way, she also volunteers at the SPCA)
